01 . My Favorite BL Manga: Doukyuusei
"Lets fall in love - a slow, serious love" So it may be cliched and over used but Nakamura-sensei told her story with such gentleness and such delicacy that I couldn't help but fall deeply in love with this story and these two boys. And the art fits so perfectly with the story if you ask me. The lankiness of the boys, their hair, the face structure - it all comes together to make one hell of an amazing story. I find myself coming back again and again to read this. Though I love me some or a lot of smut in my yaoi, but this kind of slow and serious story totally steals stole my heart.
Rihito's serious yet shy and hesitant nature coupled with Kusakabe's 'full speed ahead!' and 'good hearted fool' act goes together so well! The awkwardness and sweetness of a first love - that feeling is captured in a super sweet manner. And I adore the little omakes that the mangaka does of the spreads! I laughed so hard when Rihito bites Kusakabe's finger! I was like "hahaha so thats what happened back stage!" XD But yeah...I love this manga to pieces and I'd buy it in hardcopy in a heartbeat.
