I fear for the state of my dear country. I dont want it to go back to the way it way ten years ago when we were this close to being declared as a failed nation....urgh. I really dont dont dont wanna think bout whats gonna happen in the next year. The moneys gonna be taken out of the country, the inflations gonna increase argh! *ruffles hair*
Thats it now....this country is now on a way ticket to Hell and there aint no brakes! The news channels say that this is now the start of a new age and hell yeah i agree to that. However, it aint gonna be as friggin' bright as they're making it out to be. Its gonna get a whole lot fucking worse now. Here comes inflation thats gonna rise faster than a loose helium balloon, corruption that is gonna squeeze out as much money as they possibly can out of the poor people and Gawd I wont even wanna think about it no' mo'.It just gives me a headache of a major proportion.....
Its a sad sad day in our history. And i cant believe that the people are out on the streets clapping and cheering. I mean, WTF is wrong with you? I mean okay, if you're with Nawaz Sharif or Zardari, I do understand it then. But for the love of Pete....be civilized kplzthx! The sheer stupidity or should i say, that the sheer naiveity of the people here pissed me off. So focused on the short-term and ever so forgetful. I mean, did they forget what happened the LAST TIME Nawaz Sharif or the PPP came into power? I dont even wanna remember that!
I've said it before and I'll say it once again. Democracy cannot be the way things get done here in Pakistan. Its just not suited for our people! We dont know our rights! Or as Dr. Lubna (our university professor) so eloquently put it, "We have herd instincts which are not rooted in rules. Democracy is a tree that is rooted in rules. In underdeveloped countries, democracy without rules cannot function. We do not have any history of independent judiciary."
I agree with her words so much. In a country where the judicary and the system itself is so full of holes and is ripe with corruption, what good can democracy do for us? And lets not even start on the poor people! What good is gonna come for them? The only rule that can work effectively on us is force or martial law or.... well the words coming to my mind are "laathei" or "daanda". But i cant think of the proper translation for that.....basically, if you ask us nicely, we aint gonna do it. Stand on our heads with a stick/gun/knife/machete and watch us jump up as high as we can. Its frickin useless.
And god DAMN the media for turning this whole thing into a fucking circus show! Ever heard of the words 'responsible journalism'?! or plain ole decency and common sense? And this is in particular towards GEO Tv. May they go to Hell for their actions and turning this whole thing into a drama thats worse than those really really bad and cheesy Star Plus dramas!
