A Bleach (crack?) theory

I had a thought after Jery says to me on msn "Aizen with mullet hair!"

All the strongest characters have (or had at one point or another) really(optional) long hair. I mean think about it. Ukitake, Kyouraku, Kenpachi, Byakuya, Yoruichi, Bull! Ichigo, Shinji, Rose, Renji, Orihime (yes i r biased hur hur hur), Unohana, ....the two exceptions I see clear cut are Yama-jii (wouldnt be surprised if he had long hair when he was young!) and Ikkaku. Oh and Isshin? Again I bet he had longer hair when he was in SS >:3

You don't count Yama-jii's insanely long eyebrows and mustache as super-powered hair?

But I like that idea. :3 So far the power levels are suspiciously connected to length of lovely locks.

Can I say Rukia doesn't have long hair either? And she's powerful alright. Quoting Trowa's comment on GW, "She has to be powerful to control Ichigo like that." (changed Heero's name for our protagonist here for effect but you know where I'm going ^-^)
